Beauty IV Drip for Skin Brightening: What’s in the Bag

Dripology

The beauty IV drip is the service most clients walk in asking for after seeing it on social media. The honest version of what it is, what is in it, and what it can reasonably do, is more useful than the marketing version. Here is the breakdown.

What is in the Dripology beauty drip

Our standard beauty drip is built around a few ingredients that act on different pieces of the skin-support picture:

  • Glutathione, the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant, involved in pigment regulation through the melanogenesis pathway
  • High-dose vitamin C, which is a cofactor for collagen synthesis and provides additional antioxidant support
  • Biotin, which is involved in keratin production and is one of the few skin-and-hair-relevant B vitamins
  • B-complex, for general metabolic support and skin cell turnover
  • A saline base for hydration, which by itself often improves how skin looks the next morning

Some clients add a glutathione push at the end of the bag for additional dose, and some pair the beauty drip with NAD+ as part of a longevity-and-aesthetic protocol. Your RN will confirm appropriate combinations during intake.

What it can reasonably do

Clients often report a more even complexion, slightly brighter skin tone, and reduced dullness after a series of sessions. Hydration alone improves how skin reflects light, which is part of why a single session sometimes shows visible change the next morning.

The beauty drip is not a substitute for sunscreen, sleep, or a sensible skincare routine. The clients who notice the most visible change tend to be those who pair regular beauty drip sessions with consistent SPF use, hydration, and sleep. Skipping any of those weakens what the drip alone can do.

It is also not an aesthetic procedure. It does not target wrinkles, acne scars, or pigmentation directly. Those are the domain of in-clinic aesthetic services that work topically or in the dermis.

Who is booking the beauty drip

The most common use cases at our Beverly Hills and Flatiron locations:

  • Pre-event prep: a session three to seven days before a wedding, premiere, photoshoot, or red-carpet event
  • Travel recovery: skin tends to look depleted after long-haul flights, and a session within 48 hours of landing is a common booking
  • Seasonal maintenance: a steady monthly cadence year-round, more frequent in winter when skin runs drier
  • Pairing with aesthetic services: clients who already have a regular facial, laser, or peel cadence often add a monthly beauty drip

How a session runs at Dripology

You arrive, complete intake with your RN, and settle into a private suite. The bag runs 30 to 45 minutes. The most common in-session sensations are mild warmth from the magnesium, a brief vitamin or sulfur taste at the back of the throat from the glutathione push if added, and a noticeable hydration sensation.

After line removal, you can return to your day immediately. Most clients notice the visible difference the following morning rather than the same afternoon. A series of four to six weekly sessions is the usual starting protocol if the goal is a meaningful shift, followed by a monthly maintenance cadence.

Pairing with other services

Glutathione and vitamin C are both already in the beauty drip, but additional glutathione (as a push at the end) is the most common add-on for clients focused on skin clarity specifically. NAD+ pairs naturally for clients on a broader longevity protocol, though it adds significant chair time. Your RN will walk through what makes sense for your visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the beauty drip take?

Plan on 30 to 45 minutes for the bag, plus a short intake on a first visit. Total chair time is typically under an hour.

How often should someone book the beauty drip?

For visible results, a starting protocol of four to six weekly sessions then a monthly maintenance cadence is typical. For maintenance only, monthly is a reasonable starting point. Your RN can suggest a schedule based on your goals.

Can the beauty drip be combined with facials, lasers, or peels?

Generally yes, with timing considerations. We recommend spacing the IV session and the in-clinic aesthetic service by at least 24 hours unless your aesthetic provider specifies otherwise.

The beauty drip is available at both Dripology locations, in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles) and Flatiron (New York City). Contact the concierge team to book or to ask about appropriate combinations for your goals.
